About Gas Furnaces

Strong, steady heat on the coldest days

A gas furnace burns natural gas or propane to heat air that your blower sends through the ducts. It heats fast and keeps going on the coldest days, which is why it is still a favorite in our area.

Furnaces differ in efficiency and in how finely they adjust output. We explain single-stage, two-stage and modulating models and what each adds, and we handle venting and gas connections to code.

Questions About Gas Furnaces

Still have a question?

Call 615-357-7797

What is AFUE?

It is the percentage of fuel that becomes useful heat. A higher number means less wasted fuel.

Do I need a condensing furnace?

Condensing furnaces are more efficient but need proper venting and a drain. We check whether it fits your home.

Can I use a gas furnace with a heat pump?

Yes. That is called dual fuel, and it uses the heat pump in mild weather and the furnace in the coldest.
