About Frozen AC Coil Repair

Ice on your air conditioner is a symptom. We find the cause

Ice on the indoor coil or the refrigerant line is a clear sign something is wrong. Common causes are restricted airflow from a dirty filter, a failing blower, low refrigerant from a leak or a dirty coil.

Simply thawing the coil only fixes the problem for a while. We thaw it safely, find the cause and fix it, so you are not calling again in a week.

Cold coil, no heat to absorb

Why Coils Freeze

If air does not move across the coil or the charge is low, the coil gets too cold and moisture freezes on it.

Questions About Frozen AC Coil Repair

Still have a question?

Call 615-357-7797

Why is my air conditioner freezing up?

Restricted airflow and low refrigerant are the most common causes. Dirty filters, failing blowers and dirty coils also contribute.

Is it okay to keep running a frozen air conditioner?

No. Running it can damage the compressor. Turn the system to fan only to thaw, or off, and call us.

Will it freeze again after repair?

Not if we fix the cause. Regular filter changes and tune-ups also help prevent repeats.
